Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Choosing the contest category
Applied Higher Education graduation theses and Bachelor's theses will compete in two (software, hardware and systems) and master's theses in three categories (software, hardware and systems, information society). The competition category should be determined when submitting the application. See the descriptions and keywords of the contest categories. The given list of keywords is illustrative, not exhaustive.
The pre-stage committee will look through submitted applications and theses. If the committee finds that the subject of the thesis does not fit into the chosen category, the committee has the right to relocate the thesis in the appropriate category. Information about category amendment, should it prove necessary, shall be included in the message about qualification to the final stage.
Can I participate in the competition, when I defended my thesis in the fall semester of the academic year 2017/2018?
Unfortunately no. You are welcome to take part in the competition as an audience member.
Why take part in the contest as a first / second year student?
You will get an overview of the procedure of thesis defence and get to know what other students write about in their theses. At the same time you will have an opportunity to establish new contacts with the company representatives. In addition, an interesting guest performance will take place.
